FREEDONIA S.U.M.A.C
COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY, FRIDGE, FREEZER.
“Well-being for all is not a dream.”
― Pyotr Kropotkin, The Conquest of Bread
We believe that having access to food without systemic barriers is a human right. We believe in mutual aid and working to ensure that marginalized people in our community can access food with dignity and without judgement or systemic barriers.
Our free food pantry houses multiple shelves for non-perishable and dry goods as well as multiple fridges and freezers for fresh and frozen produce and meats.
The pantry is accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week to anyone who needs access to food.
You do not need to ask permission or call ahead and we do not ask for any personal information.
We only ask that people respect the needs of other community members and not take more than they need.
This project could not have happened without the support from the Freedonia anarchist grant.
HOW TO DONATE TO THE FREE FOOD PANTRY
The pantry works on the principal of "Take what you need, Leave what you can"
Members of our community who are able to offer food donations are welcome to bring them to the pantry at any time.
We ask that any home made foods be labeled and dated.
We ask that fresh and frozen produce and meats be put away in a fridge or freezer.
LOCATION
The pantry is located at the intersection of West Street South and Murray Street in Fenelon Falls.
